Lucy by Laurence Gonzales.. Daughter of a primatologist and a bonobo ape, Lucy is a Crichton-like character just trying to get by in her American high school. Yes, it gets wild when the government and right-wing fanatics each try to get a piece of her.

Joel Gardner, LitSnap Editor

"Lucy is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, hard to put down and hard to forget.."

Associated Press

"Masterful… Thoroughly well-written, grounded in science and a sorrowful sense of human nature, this book is utterly memorable.."
