Nightwoods by Charles Frazier.. Cold Mountain scribe sinks his teeth into a meaty gothicker here. Some of the best sentences ever written, and a hair raising tale with all the fixin's. You won't be disappointed in this black kitsch thriller.

Joel Gardner, LitSnap Editor

"Nightwoods is no typical thriller….its dazzling sentences are so meticulously constructed that you find yourself rereading them, trying to unpack their magic...the unhurried, poetic suspense is both difficult to bear and IMPOSSIBLE TO SHAKE."

Entertainment Weekly

"HIS BEST BOOK TO DATE. Frazier’s exquisitely efficient style is matched by some finely tuned suspense."

The Times (London)
