Sybil Exposed by Debbie Nathan.. So it turns out the whole thing was an elaborate scam, but the beauty of such a thing is just how elaborate. Or maybe there was a grain of truth in there somewhere? Don't skip the shrink if you're feeling blue, but just take ONE of you.

Joel Gardner, LitSnap Editor

"Debbie Nathan’s “Sybil Exposed” is about psychiatric fads, outrageous therapeutic malpractice, thwarted ambition run amok, and several other subjects, but above all, it is a book about a book. Specifically, that book is “Sybil,” purportedly the true story of a woman with 16 personalities."

"A compelling account of the creation, packaging, and selling of this case of medical and journalistic malpractice."
