Hint Fiction by Robert Smartwood.. Anthology of 25 word worlds. Sometimes the gambit works, sometimes not, but like a chess puzzle, when these are brilliant, they are very very brilliant. Take two. They’re small.

Joel Gardner, LitSnap Editor

"The stories are extremely short, and yet, they feel whole. "A lot of these stories could be expanded into longer stories," Swartwood says, "but as they are, they're complete — which is the challenge and the beauty of the form."."

"The stories in Robert Swartwood’s Hint Fiction have some serious velocity.  Some explode, some needle, some bleed, and some give the reader room to dream. They’re fun and addictive, like puzzles or haiku or candy. I’ve finished mine but I want more.."
